Dear Massachusetts Democratic Party 'LGBTQ+ Action Committee',
It’s 2024 and gay people are not going to let you use us and gaslight us anymore. There is no such thing as ‘LGBTQ+’. There are Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual people, and we want nothing to do with the nonsense T, Q, and whatever the hell the ‘+’ stands for.
We are not going to let you speak for us anymore. Your opinion piece in today’s Boston Globe does not reflect my views as a gay man.

You call ‘trans youth’ a scapegoat for the Democrats’ loss in the Presidential election, while comparing it to gay marriage. I am a gay man and former Massachusetts resident who lived in Boston during the fight for same-sex marriage. Let me explain to you the difference between THAT issue and ‘transgender athletes’:
Sex is real.
Same-sex attraction is real.
Same-sex attraction doesn’t hurt anyone, and two same-sex attracted people getting married doesn't take away anyone else’s rights.
In contrast:
‘Transgender’ is not real.
There is no such thing as ‘trans youth’.
A boy wishing he were a girl does not make him a girl.
A boy who ‘feels’ like a girl, dresses like a girl, or stereotypically ‘acts like a girl’ is not a girl and never will be. Human beings cannot change sex, even with all the horrific drugs and Frankenstein surgeries the Boston Children’s Hospital supplies.
People play sports with their bodies, not their ‘identities’.
You are calling for the physical and mental abuse (not to mention loss of scholarships) of girls by advocating for ‘trans girls’ [boys] to play with and against girls. This is not fair, not sensible, not safe, and certainly not science-based. It’s cruel to girls…and it is also cruel to the boys who are ‘identifying’ as girls. You call yourself an ‘LGBTQ+ Action Committee’ while ignoring the obvious fact that the majority of boys who are ‘identifying’ as girls are really just effeminate boys who would grow up to be gay men if you would just leave them alone. These boys are not ‘being their true selves’ when they adopt a ‘trans girl’ identity; they are submitting to a world in which ‘trans’ is celebrated and they are told that if they present with stereotypical feminine behavior, they must ‘really’ be girls.
Seth Moulton is correct, and should be commended for being one of the few Democrats willing to (finally) speak the truth. What YOU are doing is homophobic, misogynist, and wrong. What YOU are promoting is child abuse and gay conversion.
If you were honest, you would call yourself a ‘Trans Action Committee’ because that is the only group you truly speak for. What you stand for erases same-sex attracted people and sets Gay Rights back decades. Gay people are fed up with this and will not stand by silently while you work towards drugging and mutilating proto-gay kids to make $$$ for your Pharmeceutical owners. These are children that you have confused and betrayed with your Queer Theory nonsense, cultish lovebombing, and suicide scaremongering.
You lost the election because you lost your minds. People are finally waking up. People--of all demographics---are leaving the Democratic Party because we are tired of your authoritarian, Orwellian, science-denying, sadistic rhetoric. Gay men and lesbians are done with the Democratic Party’s abuse. You are harming us, and you are not allowed to speak for us.
I would give this a thousand likes if I could. My son is one of those (most probably) gay youths trapped in this trans horror. Bullied at school because he was perceived as gay, and then celebrated and supported when he declared himself trans. He’s now in a relationship with another male (who has also declared himself a female), and was utterly horrified and furious with me when I asked if perhaps he was gay. I am so angry at how this ideology has once again targeted the gay community and made male/female stereotypes the arbiter of our identities. When did we stop helping our gay sons and daughters accept themselves as they are and start cheering them on in medically neutering themselves and mutilating their bodies. The bullies have just taken on a more insidious form - and that form is flying the trans flag.
I have been same-sex married since 2015, and strongly agree with this. If an adult wants to go trans, I am fine with that, but that person has not changed their sex. They have changed their presentation and their appearance, and nothing more.
The T has been wagging the tail of the LGB dog. It is mainly an activist project, and has gone way too far. No way should this be promoted to minors, and no way should biological men (which is what this always turns out to be) have access to girls' and women's sports, lockerrooms, bathrooms, and prisons.
There is a history behind "sex change" operations performed on unwilling victims, always gay men, in apatheid South Africa and present-day Iran. I view at least some of this as being very anti-gay. It's long overdue for more gays and lesbians to speak out against all of this.
