I work for a community college system and every June, they change the website to have a 'pride' flag banner. I have contemplated writing a letter like this, but have not had the balls (no matter how hard I believe!) to do so.
And just to make it a bit more weird, WalMart is selling GV (great value walmart brand) "Pride" ice cream and "Juneteenth" ice cream for the month of June. It seems like every "social movement" soon becomes a capitalist marketing scheme. It's all so strange!
